The Current Challenges in Sri Lanka’s Rattan Manufacturing Industry

This research examines the contemporary challenges associated with rattan manufacturing industry in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, main objective of this is to identify current industry. was carried out using a mixed methodology under inductive approach. Quantitative and qualitative data were used for they collected from primary secondary sources. The through DSD offices, resource profiles, district, statistical handbooks, relevant websites, journal articles. Questionnaires, structured semi-structured interviews, obtain data. Radawadunna Grama Niladhari Division Mirigama Divisional Secretariat Gampaha District Lanka selected as sample conducting study. reason selecting area study that identified place significantly famous rattan-related products trade. Ten attributes derived literature survey objective. A factor analysis performed SPSS software analyzed presented tables. After analyzing data, it faced by traders engaged area. Thus, four factors can be named as, Resource scarcity, Market factors, Spatial and, Cultural factors. Under these several other sub-factors identified. finally present
